Right now.

We are in a season of depths, you feeling that?

My clients, friends, collaborators, communities, and family are all going through transitions right now.

We are living in a powerful, beautiful, tricky moment - self and other care are wildly important always, and especially right now. And by care I’m specifically talking about comfort, pleasure, tending, nourishing.

I’m talking about the reality that in order to do the work we’re being called to do, it needs to feel good, we need to feel good.

I’m talking about weaving in as much sensual pleasure into our days as we can, choosing soft sheets, clothes that hug and flow just the way we want them to, running our fingers through lavender and sage and rosemary, dimming the lights when our eyes have had enough, and opening the windows when we need more.

I’m talking about tuning into the little ways that we can refill ourselves and others so we are able to keep showing up full, but not stuffed.

When shit gets complicated, turn to the basics.

Turn to your senses, slow it down and tune into the subtleties.

Bring a whole lot of presence to what your tasting, touching, smelling, hearing, seeing, sensing.

Drink water.

Sleep, rest, nap when you can.

Move in ways that feel good.

Lay in the grass, sand, dirt.

Listen to your breath for a couple of minutes each day.

And maybe most importantly, put your hands on your heart and say, “I love you, I’m with you, I’ve got you.”

Take this same care and attunement to the humans and beings around you. Let your self-care include other care.

XO
