a first question to ask ourselves is, how do we practice increasing our ease with what is? change happens. change is definitely going to happen, no matter what we plan or expect or hope for or set in place. we will adapt to that change, or we will become irrelevant.
— adrienne maree brown

It’s that time of year, every planning junkie’s favorite moment.

Shiny new planners, beautiful calendars, and even more beautiful ideas to fill them with.

But this year is different.

We’re at a collective crossroads, an inflection point.

2020 is wrapping up. And, oh 2020, what a beast you’ve been (so far).

Historically, this is the season for planning our bold moves for the next year, for picking out our “word” of the year, and participating in other familiar annual planning practices. (How many folks do you think will claim “Sanity” for their 2021 word for the year??)

But how do we approach planning when life feels so damn unplannable?

Things could settle down over the next few months. The US election could be a smooth transition that lands this country into a happier, more peace-filled, hope-full place.

There could be incredible cures and vaccines for COVID soon.

Travel and gathering and the access we had could all come back to us in the near future.

Or not.

One thing we do know… Life will never be the same.

2020 has made it very clear that shit we didn’t think could happen can happen.

But in spite of the heartache, chaos, stress, and struggle 2020 has brought to so so many it is also one of the richest times we’ve experienced in our lifetime in terms of possibility and future building.

Life never being the same has the potential to be a very good thing for all of us.

I’m devoted to helping you sanely and gloriously be able to show up and do what you’re here to do.

The world may be turned upside down, but you still have work to do.

In fact, your work is even more important right now because you’re doing Deep Work that shapes and influences our new well future - the one we’re building right now.

We are always shaping our world, whether actively or passively. This is forever true, but right now we have a genuinely unique opportunity to influence how well our world is.

For years I’ve said that every post we share is writing history But in 2020, our actions are even more influential.

We are quite literally living in a time that will be in our grandbabies’ history books.

What do you want it to say and where do you want the world to be after “this time”?

This is the filter we should be running our work decisions through.

We’re at a true inflection point, folks.

Let’s make sure your plans make sense, that they tip the trend in the direction of your individual and collective success & wellness.

This is no time for maintaining the status quo.

This is no time for giving in to the voices, inside or outside of ourselves that say just hold tight to what you know, and don’t change a thing. This is no time to shut down. No time to collapse.

No.

To be sure, there are plenty of systems and structures that need to collapse. But our nervous systems are not among them.

Our True, deep work needs to be more rooted and more present than ever.

I want you to help you move through the end of 2020 and into 2021 with authentic confidence, true  clarity, and effective strategies designed to adapt and support your Deep Work.

Here’s how we do it:

Planning When Life Feels Unplannable is a three-month one-on-one intensive with lots of space for integration and breath. In other words, we’ll go deep without overwhelming your calendar, mind, or nervous system.

We’ll end 2020 together and begin 2021 together so that you are supported all the way through this transition.

Your business, your needs right now, your intended impact, and your working style are all unique to you. I’m a quick study and will be able to bring partnership, collaboration, strategy, and valuable decision-making feedback to help you with your year-end wrap-up and your 2021 planning.

Here are possibilities of what we can explore, map out, and strategize during our time together:

  • Your thriving financial plan.

  • Your most relevant offer.

  • Your Deep work.

  • Your positioning.

  • Your messaging.

  • Your visibility blocks, traumas, and possibilities.

  • Your impact

  • Your branding.

  • Your sustainable schedule.

  • Your working wellness plan.

  • Your how-do-I-stay-sane-when-the-world-is-crazy plan.

  • Anything else that lives at the intersection of work, mission, purpose, wellness, mothering, and beauty.

You are likely successful by many definitions, have a high level of expertise in your craft, and are in a transition of sorts, whether it’s about a new heart aligned offer you know you need to bring forward, a shift in your positioning, a refinement of your brand, a clarifying of your business values, an overhaul of your business practices, or a serious leveling up.

I get it, and I’m here for it.

Because life has been training me for this season for a long time.

My job titles over the last 10 years include Intuitive Branding Photographer, Holistic Strategist, Art Director, Witness and Guide, and online business owner.

During other seasons of my professional life, I’ve held titles like Certified Doula, Certified Body + Energy Worker, Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher, Account + Project Manager, and really tired mama trying to figure out how to do this life thing.

I’m telling you all of this on purpose. I’m telling you all of this because these seemingly divergent roles all inform how I serve my clients and how I show up in the world.

There was a time when I thought my path was far too crooked.

This is not that time.

My path (likely yours too) has brilliantly prepared and shaped me into the force I am today. (Sound familiar?)

Life + death cycles, developmental phases, business reinvention and adaptation, creativity, preparing for the unknown, wellness, trauma growth, relationships, money, mothering—

Bring it on.

I have the experience, the heart, and the mind for it. I love to work at the intersection of practical and spiritual.

If it doesn’t have meaning, why bother? And if it doesn’t pay your bills, you just can’t.

I’m a 47-year-old peri-menopausal woman who’s spent half of my adulthood as a single mother to 3 beautiful sons and my entire adulthood as the matriarch of my family.

I’ve survived C-PTSD, chronic health nonsense, and high-conflict divorce.

I’ve supported many births and only slightly fewer deaths.

I’ve been the primary provider, a partnered provider, and a sole provider for my family.

I’ve helped my clients create offers that produce thriving incomes while doing less harm to their bodies and the world.

I’ve helped my clients align with their calling and bring the work they really want to be doing out from the shadows and into the light.

I’ve helped my clients see themselves—really see themselves and then from a place of radical acceptance and love - share their brilliance.

I’ve helped my clients name + claim their genius, their values, and their mission.

I’m good at support.

My business support looks a lot like my doula work. It’s intimate, the stakes are high, and I’m all-in—right there with you—to guide and remind you of who you are and what you’ve come to do.

I can provide this level of support because I am well supported.

I invest in my relationship with my partner and my four children, I work with my therapist and my mentor regularly, I tend to my body and nervous system, I nurture and am nurtured by a handful of soul friendships, and I love the hell out of the earth I occupy. I do all of this imperfectly and with absolute devotion.

I thrive in the depths.

The layers, the intersections, the disparate pieces, the feelings, the knowings, the callings, and how we’re going to make sure dinner is on the table.

I have a higher than most hard-earned tolerance for the big hard questions, the ones that call out our courage and conviction.

You can share yourself, explore yourself, and experience yourself with me.

Whether I have a camera in my hand, or I’m holding the hand of a birthing or dying human, or providing guidance through a transformative business process - my clients are able to let down their guards and own who they are in my presence. It is something I hold with the highest care.

I understand and profoundly honor the intimate nature of our business work: Our livelihood, our calling, our purpose made visible.

Deep Work is Sacred Work.

Let’s get clear, make powerful plans life giving plans, and pay attention to where and how we may need to adapt as we go.

Resilience is sexy as hell and 2020 has been our resiliency boot camp. Let’s humbly flex and move into 2021 with ass-loads of mindful confidence.

Together we’ll hold the tensions, explore the paradoxes, and make meaningful, profitable, worthwhile plans for 2021.

Planning When Life Feels Unplannable is for you if…

  • You’re here for individual and collective wins.

  • You’re committed to making the most of this moment in spite of the hard parts.

  • You’re willing to go deep.

  • You know that doing your Deep Work requires Deep Self Care practices and that includes support + pleasure. There are no prizes for suffering and nothing gained by going it alone.

The investment for Planning When Life Feels Unplannable is three monthly payments of $600. Sessions begin in November.
